Captain Britain is a Marvel Comics character first introduced in 1976. Created by writer Chris Claremont and artist Herb Trimpe, the character is originally Brian Braddock, a shy and brilliant physicist who is granted magical powers by the legendary Merlyn and his daughter Roma after a near-fatal accident. Given the choice between the Sword of Might and the Amulet of Right, Brian chooses the amulet, proving his nobility and becoming Captain Britain—the protector of the United Kingdom and eventually a defender of the multiverse.

While there’s currently no official Captain Britain film or series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the character has been teased in fan theories and rumors, with growing speculation about his possible debut in the multiverse-heavy future of the MCU. Some fans have even rallied for British actor Henry Cavill to take on the role, seeing his background and presence as a strong match for the part.
